Hello Indivisible St Johnsbury,
With so much happening each day, our community continues to keep us strong. Here's a quick recap of what you all have accomplished in just a few months:
We've organized peaceful, focused, successful rallies that amplify Indivisible's message about democracy.
We've created multiple ways for people to become and stay involved with ongoing discussions around safety, health, and rights.
We've encouraged people to speak out during events, online, and in writing.
We're supporting people in NEKCA's shelter with monthly food donations.
We're developing new ways to engage a wider audience.
And we're still building.
Peace Ferreby gives meaning to the Good Trouble Lives On rally this Thursday: "Congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis coined the term Good Trouble. It means coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice and create meaningful change. The civil rights activists of the past have shown us the power of collective action. We are joining together on July 17th to carry forward John Lewis's efforts for justice, voting rights, and dignity for all."
Join us! Bring a friend!

Actions
Some things we're watching as they affect our
homes, families, neighbors, and friends:
Attorney General Charity Clark has filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration for unlawfully freezing an estimated $26 million in federal funding meant for Vermont schools.
Sen Scott Beck and Rep Beth Quimby represent the NEK in a new School District Redistricting Task Force, established to manage sweeping changed to how Vermont’s schools are organized and funded.
The Let's Build Homes Coalition convened in the NEK to address "changing policies that are holding us back [from] creat[ing] more homes for all Vermonters, so that we can welcome families, nurses, teachers, and others to create a better, more affordable future."
Next Meeting: Wednesday
This is a work group session. Please find your group and be prepared to focus on a specific topic:
National. This is for people who want to work at the national level including elections in other states.
State/Local. This is for those who want to focus their work on issues at the state and local level like going to local selectboard meetings, asking questions at the monthly legislative breakfasts, and tracking state legislation and responses to federal cuts.
Protests and Events. People who want to coordinate our monthly protests as well as work in mutual aid like our monthly meals to the homeless shelter can attend this workgroup.
Communications. We are a rapidly growing group with a number of communications needs and opportunities. People interested in helping map out a communications plan, writing letters to editors, updating our website and mailing list as well as social media presence will find a place in this group.
Education. This is a group where we can draw from the wisdom and experience of those in the group as well as those who came before us to help make our activism is grounded in sound principles.
We meet upstairs in the sanctuary, accessible from the Cherry Street parking lot. Please park on the street or in the lot north of the building -- the lot at Eastern and Cherry is for another property. Find more details and maps on our website.
