Indivisible St. Johnsbury
Action Groups
Indivisible St. Johnsbury organizes much of its work through Action Groups, which allow members to focus on the areas where they are most passionate and effective.
Each group focuses on a different part of our mission, from education and communications to organizing events and advocating for change at the local, state, and national levels. These teams help coordinate projects, share information, and turn ideas into meaningful action within our community.

Learning
The Learning Action Group is on a mission to strengthen the resistance capacity and effectiveness of our members and to motivate their involvement in meeting unmet community needs.
Our purpose is to foster community and hope and strength. We work to provide access to a wide array of well-targeted well-designated learning opportunities for our members and for the larger community.
Communications
The Communications Action Group helps share the priorities, values, and events of Indivisible St. Johnsbury. Our goal is to help build a strong coalition that supports democratic principles and encourages community participation.
This team keeps the public informed by managing and sharing information across our platforms. Members help with social media, create content and graphics, fact-check news sources, maintain the website, write press releases, and support other media needs. Through clear and consistent communication, this group helps connect people with the actions and events happening in our community.

Events
The Events Action Group plans and coordinates events for Indivisible St. Johnsbury. This includes rallies, community gatherings, forums, trainings, and other public events that bring people together.
Members help organize logistics, coordinate volunteers, promote events, and make sure everything runs smoothly. The Events team plays an important role in creating spaces where community members can connect, learn, and take action together.
Local
The Local Action Group focuses on issues, decisions, and events happening in St. Johnsbury and the surrounding community. Members stay informed about local government, town meetings, and community initiatives that impact residents.
This group helps encourage civic participation by sharing information, supporting local advocacy efforts, and helping community members engage with local leaders and boards. The Local Action Group works to make sure our community stays informed, involved, and represented in local decision-making.

After Hours
The After Hours Action Group is designed for members who prefer to participate in the evening or have daytime schedules that make it difficult to attend other meetings. This group focuses on organizing actions, preparing for events, and supporting volunteer coordination.
Members often help plan upcoming rallies, train volunteers such as marshals and medics, and work on the logistics needed to keep events safe and organized. The After Hours team provides an accessible way for more people in our community to stay involved and take action.
On the third Monday of each month, we have regular meetings. The first Sunday of every month is our Online meetings.
National Group
The National Action Group focuses on federal issues, policies, and legislation that impact our community and the country as a whole. Members stay informed about national developments and help organize actions that support democratic values and civic engagement.
This group encourages community members to connect with federal representatives, participate in nationwide campaigns, and take part in coordinated actions with the broader Indivisible movement. By working together, the National Action Group helps amplify our community’s voice on the national stage.

Election Action Group
The Elections Action Group is helping educate and turn out voters for the 2026 Midterm Elections in key swing states--New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. We work closely with Lean Left VT to amplify and activate their “States Matter” plan.
We will help turn out voters, protect election integrity and the right to vote. We will not be campaigning for individual candidates or issues, but we will help raise funds to support on-the-ground grassroots organizations in order to secure Democratic victories in 2026 and build momentum for the long term.

Brave Little State
Inspired by the idea that small states can have a powerful voice, Brave Little State Action Group focuses on the unique role Indivisible groups in Vermont can play in protecting and strengthening democracy within our region.
Members seek to wake up our state leaders to the powers they have to resist unprincipled and/or illegal federal actions that harm Vermonters. We are working to build a robust network of Indivisible groups across the state that can inform, motivate, and support state leaders to use their power to shield Vermonters from an executive branch of the federal government captured by corrupt, undemocratic forces.
